The first runner-up Miss California USA Carrie Prejean raised eyebrows with her candid answer to a question about gay marriage during the Miss USA 2009 pageant.
Prejean says her answer cost her the crown but she stands by her answer. In an interview with FOXNews.com, the 21-year-old beauty said that she had "no regrets" and was happy with the answer she gave regarding same sex marriage.
"I have nothing against gay people and I didn't mean to offend anyone in my answer," Prejean said.
During Sunday night's Miss USA telecast Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton asked Prejean : "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalise same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?"
